Landing a new left-wing back becomes needed for Chelsea, as one their current left-back Ben Chilwell has been told to find another club in the current summer wondow according to Enzo Maresca.
The 27-year-old defender has been notably missing in the squad in the last three pre-season matches and has only been active in games for just 64 minutes.
Speculation on Chilwell’s Future
Exit rumours have been made towards Chilwell, with most people believing that the player will not continue to play for Chelsea.
Enzo Maresca was asked about Chilwell’s situation and he explained that there are many players in the team and some of them may leave the team.
“There were 22 players training this morning and while everybody wants to play against City on Sunday that can not happen Maresca said.”

According to BBC journalist Nizaar Kinsella, Enzo Maresca reiterated the need to play players frequently and that it might be in Chilwell’s best interest to make a transfer.
“When you train every day and don’t get minutes, it’s not good for them or for me. I need to make a decision. Probably, it is better to leave and go get minutes. The transfer window is open, so we will see what happens,” he added.
Chelsea continue to remain active in the transfer market, as they keep working on a deal that sees Joao Felix move to the London club and Conor Gallagher going the other way to complete his long awaited switch to the Spanish capital.
As reported previously by Sportsbuddy, Felix’s agent, Jorge Mendes who is presently in London is working actively to finalise a deal for his client.
