COLE PALMER: Maresca gives update on 22-year-old attacker’s injury situation

Enzo Maresca downplayed reports that Chelsea star Cole Palmer, sustained an injury during their Conference League victory on Thursday.
Palmer was seen walking straight down the tunnel while clutching his hamstring after full-time.

The 22-year-old attacker was brought on in the 58th minute when the Blues were having a hard time breaking down the Swiss visitors, Servette.
Chelsea eventually went on to win 2-0, handing Maresca his first competitive win; however, there were concerns that Palmer picked up an injury in the clash.

After the game, the Chelsea boss gave an update about the situation.
”Cole, he felt something but he looks fine,” Maresca said, as quoted by Mail Sports.
”They have already checked him. He looks fine, he is okay. Hopefully there is no problem and he can be involved in Sunday’s game,” he added.
With Chelsea set for Premier League action against Wolverhampton Wanderers this weekend, Cole Palmer will be examined on Friday to see if he can be involved in full training ahead of the trip to Molineux.
Maresca will be hoping his star man stays fit, given his importance to the team.
Cole Palmer had an impressive debut season with Chelsea, scoring 27 goals and providing 15 goals in all competitions in his last campaign.
The England international was recently rewarded with an improved contract, for his incredible performances in the Blues’ shirt.
