Arsenal’s ‘Star Boy’ Bukayo Saka has etched his name in the history of the Premier League following an incredible feat following the Gunners’ victory over Aston Villa.
According to Bein Sports, Saka became the third-youngest player in the history of the Premier League to reach 100 wins in the competition.
The 22-year-old set up Thomas Partey to make it 2-0 for Mikel Arteta’s side, securing a second Premier League win for the Gunners.
Bukayo Saka’s record
Saka joined an elite club of youngsters to have hit the milestone of 100 Premier League victories, with only Wayne Rooney (22 years, 87 days) and Cesc Fabregas (22 years, 180 days) hitting the landmark at a younger age than Saka (22 years, 354 days).
Reflecting on his achievement, Saka posted to social media: “Proud to make it to 100 Premier League wins for my club.”
The England international has scored 48 top-flight goals, with all coming in an Arsenal shirt, having played all his life with the Gunners.
Saka, one of the most valuable players in the world, beats Premier League greats like Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo to achieve his 100th win at a younger age.
He also reached this milestone at a younger age than Phil Foden, a Manchester City player who has been compared to him by fans.
However, Foden achieved 100 wins in fewer games [127], while Saka’s milestone came in 172 appearances.
