Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has called out winger Mykhailo Mudryk for his poor display in Chelsea’s 6-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
After a disastrous first-half performance, Mudryk did not return with the team for the second half as new signing Pedro Neto came on as his replacement.

Maresca’s decision paid off, as a 2-2 score line during the halftime break eventually ended up in a 6-2 victory in favour of the Blues.
Mudryk, who moved from Shakhtar for £89 million in January 2023, had a disappointing 45-minute performance in Chelsea’s matchday two encounter with Wolves.
The Ukrainian winger managed just 13 touches and completed only five of his eight passes.
The 23-year-old has struggled in recent matches, including a poor showing in the Conference League qualifier against Servette.
Enzo Maresca might be losing patience with Mudryk after Sunday’s game.

“Because I was not happy,” Maresca said at a press conference when asked why the Ukrainian was chunked off at halftime
“In some moments we can manage some situations better. He was working hard off the ball but on the ball, I expect a bit more quality from Misha.
”He had some good moments today but the reason why was to change it and give Pedro some minutes,” he added, as quoted by Goal.
Mudryk, whose contract with Chelsea extends to 2031, will hope for an opportunity to redeem himself in Thursday’s return leg against Servette.
