Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has heaped praises on winger Noni Madueke following his incredible display during the Blues’ 6-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday afternoon.
Madueke scored a hat-trick against Wolves, leading Maresca to his first Premier League victory as Chelsea manager. His teammates, Nicolas Jackson, Cole Palmer, and Joao Felix, also scored a goal each during the match.
In his post-match interview, Maresca expressed his admiration for Madueke, calling the winger’s performance against Wolves “fantastic.”
What Enzo Maresca said
” I can judge Noni’s performance, it was fantastic. In the first half, he was always one-on-one creating something,” Maresca said, as per Daily Post.
“From day one I said he is the kind of winger I really like.
“The best thing for Noni today was not the hat trick, it was his defending.”
While the Chelsea boss praised Madueke for his impressive performance, the Italian manager had reservations for another player’s performance.
Sports Buddy recently reported that Enzo Maresca called out winger Mykhailo Mudryk, as he criticised the 22-year-old Ukrainian’s display during the victory.
After a disastrous first-half performance, Mudryk did not return with the team for the second half as new signing Pedro Neto came on as his replacement.
