Manchester United have finally reached an agreement to sign Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain.
After more than a month of negotiations, manager Erik ten Hag has finally signed a defensive midfielder to compensate the aging Casemiro.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United have agreed to pay Paris Saint-Germain an initial fee of €50 million plus €10 million in add-ons for the transfer of the Uruguayan star.
Personal terms have already been agreed with Ugarte, so now the transfer is pending a medical and official announcement.

Ugarte set to become Manchester United’s fifth signing of the transfer window
This is United’s fifth signing this transfer window following the signing of Leny Yoro from Lille, Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna, as well as Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich.
Ugarte, who joined PSG from Sporting CP last summer, had a solid debut season but faced increased competition with the arrival of Joao Neves from Benfica.
The Uruguay international is set to join Manchester United on Tuesday after completing a medical. Meanwhile, Scott McTominay is nearing a move to Napoli, where he is expected to play a key role under Antonio Conte.
