Mohamed Salah was instrumental in all three goals as Liverpool saw off Manchester United in the Premier League fixture to put paid to three successive draws between the two teams.
Salah, of course, who has always had a knack of showing up in the spotlight, couldn’t help but have a dig at United after the rout at Old Trafford.

Liverpool’s Dominance from the Start
The match was started at a very high pace as both teams wanted to dominate this crucial game.
Liverpool thought they had taken an early lead when Trent Alexander-Arnold’s shot nearly crossed the line after a clearance attempt by Diogo Dalot.
Nonetheless, the resulting goal was disallowed because Salah was in the offside position when he had made contact with the ball.
This episode also contributed to creating an intense atmosphere for Liverpool to take control steadily.
Liverpool’s advantage materialised in the 35th minute as Casemiro misplaced a pass and Ryan Gravenberch helped Salah deliver a beautiful cross that was headed in by Luis Díaz.
Just seven minutes later, Díaz doubled the lead after robbing Casemiro of possession, exchanging passes with Salah before finishing clinically.
Salah’s Subtle Dig at United

After halftime, United tried to claw their way back, but Liverpool remained in control.
The second goal was scored by Salah after Mainoo’s challenge allowed Alexis Mac Allister to burst forward in a counterattack.
Mohamed Salah, who has now scored in his last seven appearances at Old Trafford, nearly added more to his tally as boos echoed around the stadium.
In his post-match interview with Sky Sports, Salah didn’t hold back when asked if it was an easy game, saying, “I agree with you; I was a little surprised. The game could have finished five or six.”
His remark highlighted the ease with which Liverpool dismantled United, adding a subtle but pointed jab at their lacklustre performance.
United’s Struggles Continue
While Liverpool celebrated a perfect start to their season, including three clean sheets, United faced mounting pressure.
Back-to-back defeats have left Erik ten Hag’s side in a precarious position going into the international break.
