Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres has now confessed that if his release clause of €100million (£84m) was inflated then, it may have forced teams like Arsenal to lose their interest in the transfer window.
The Sweden footballer performed exceptionally during the 2023-24 season and scored 43 goals with an additional 15 assists in 50 matches.

Arsenal and Chelsea Interest
Viktor Gyokeres was among the options that Arsenal had in mind in the forward position together with Alexander Isak, Benjamin Sesko before finally getting Raheem Sterling on loan from Chelsea.
Although, Raheem Sterling could end up as a no-brainer package for the Gunners as analyzed in a previous report from Sportsbuddy.

Despite this, he’s content at Sporting: “I got very comfortable at Sporting and can not complain of anything. ”
Although the forward responded that he is ready to discuss playing for other leagues, he stated he has no stress about such a decision in the coming season.
