Arsenal new signing Riccardo Calafiori appeared to have sustained an injury following a horrible collision during a Nations League match, according to reports from The Sun.
The 22-year-old Calafiori joined Italy for Friday’s crucial match at Parc des Princes against France.
After making a fantastic impression at Euro 2024, the center back is back on international duty once again. This summer, he moved to the Emirates from Bologna for a reported £42 million.
Ricardo Calafiori limps off against France

But the North Londoners will be gnawing their nails after the Italy international limped off the field on minute 71.
It all began in the 66th minute with a collision between France’s winger Ousmane Dembele and Calafiori’s teammate Alessandro Bastoni.
Inter Milan star Bastoni launched a tackle on Dembele and sent him flying in the air.

On landing, the forward caught Calafiori on the back, with his studs landing on the Italian’s calf.
The Arsenal player attempted to push through despite having slightly turned his ankle but had to be replaced by Alessandro Buongiorno five minutes later.

No official statement has been seen yet to the extent of his injury, but the Gunners will be hoping their new acquisition will be match fit ahead of the North London derby against Tottenham on September 15.
