The Blues new signing Jadon Sancho had an impressive debut following his second-half introduction in the record-breaking Bournemouth vs. Chelsea clash.
Saturday’s Premier League encounter between the Blues and the Cherries saw the most cards in the history of the competition, according to Optajoe on X.

Referee Anthony Taylor was in his elements last night as he dished out a total of 14 yellow cards, shared between both sides, setting a new record in the league.
While Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca found his name on the card, eight of these bookings were dished out to the Blues players as Marc Cucurella, Levi Colwill, Nicolas Jackson, Wes Fofana, Robert Sanchez, Renato Veiga, Joao Felix all received cautions.

Jadon Sancho, making his debut, was also not spared from Taylor’s wrath as he made way into the referee’s books, in what turned out to be an incident-laden evening.
The game also saw Sancho mark his first appearance for the Blues with an impressive display which yielded a goal winning assist.
The England international, who moved from Manchester united to Chelsea on transfer deadline day, upon his second half introduction, set up fellow substitute Christopher Nkunku in the 86th minute, who made no mistake to put the ball into the net.
The former Dortmund attacker was rewarded with the man-of-the match award, in what resulted in online trolls from Chelsea supporers on United.
Chelsea will take on West Ham next week in the Premier League, and Sancho will be hoping his impressive debut earns him a spot in Maresca’s starting line up, as he looks to continue with this excellent display.
