Former Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has reportedly agreed to a three-year deal with AEK Athens.
As reported earlier by Sportsbuddy, the 28-year-old French international, unemployed since a contract expired with Manchester United this year, will receive €3.5 million. Brazilian side Flamengo was interested in signing him, but a speculated transfer to the Brazilian side failed midway through this month.
After 9years of a disastrous career at Manchester United, Anthony Martial departs the club.

Anthony Martial’s Expected Arrival in Athens
According to Athens-based newspaper ‘Fos’, which reports that Martial will travel to Athens on Wednesday in a bid to complete the transfer.
The striker has been in training for two months preparing for the new season and would want to contribute to the success of AEK Athens from the beginning.

Despite his availability, AEK is not participating in European competition this season after being eliminated in the Europa Conference League qualifiers.
Martial’s Ambition
According to Anthony Martial’s agent, Philippe Lamboley, Martial has been working hard, and his dream is to make it back to the French national team.

“Anthony wants an ambitious project to reach high club objectives and return to the French national team,” said Lamboley in June, noting that financial issues are not a priority for Martial.
AEK Athens are currently at the top of the Greek Super League with three wins and a draw in their first four games. Martial’s arrival could bolster their title challenge as they look to maintain their domestic dominance.
