Nicolas Jackson has surpassed Raheem Sterling’s 19 goals for Chelsea following his brace at West Ham United, which takes him to 21 for the London club.

The Senegalese striker, who joined Chelsea at the start of last season in a reported £32 million deal from La Liga side Villarreal has had a mixed start to his time at the club, but he has been one of their best contributors when it comes to scoring goals.

The 23-year-old found the back of the net 17 times for Mauricio Pochettino led side last season, adding six further assists to earn his place as the first choice striker for the club. Only Cole Palmer scored more goals than the former Mirandes striker.

Jackson has also hit the ground running this season, scoring in three of the club’s last four Premier League fixtures, which includes a brace in the 3-0 London derby win over West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.
