Vincent Kompany led Bayern Munich to a fourth straight Bundesliga win in his first four games in the competition, becoming the first coach to achieve the feat at the club since Carlo Ancelotti in eight years ago in 2016-17 season.

With a 5-0 victory in the match, he also surpasses the Italian current Real Madrid boss as the Bayern coach with the biggest aggregate win after their opening four games in the Bundesliga.

Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich walloped Werder Bremen 5-0 away from home on Saturday to extend their 100 percent record after six games under the Belgian, which includes four league wins by an agreement of 16-3.

Michael Olise opened the scoring after only 23 minutes in Werserstadion with his fourth goal for the club before setting up Jamal Musiala nine minutes later as the Bavarians took a 2-0 lead into the break.

Vincent Kompany’s side scored a third three minutes before the hour mark as Olise again, unselfishly set up Harry Kane, who fired home to extend the lead. Kane repayed the favour three minutes later, assisting Olise to make it 4-0 Bayern with his fifth Bayern goal.

Substitute Serge Gnabry made it five with his first touches of the game in the 65th minute after replacing Kingsley Coman a few minutes earlier, completing a 5-0 demolition of their host, avenging a 1-0 loss at the Allianz Arena in January this year.

Vincent Kompany surpasses an 8-year Carlo Ancelotti record

On the eight-year anniversary of Carlo Ancelotti achieving four straight wins with an aggregate of 14-1 in his first four Bundesliga games as Bayern Munich coach, Vincent Kompany emphatically beat the record, setting a new one at 16-3.

While many questioned the appointment of the former Burnley coach in the summer, Vincent Kompany is proving his critics wrong as Bayern has been playing some of the best football in the world this season.

The Bavarians also set a new record for their biggest win in the UEFA Champions League with a 9-2 win over Dynamo Zagreb in mid-week, a result that also saw Kompany become the coach with the biggest win on their debut in the competition.

For a side that failed to win any silverware last season, bringing an end to their 11 consecutive Bundesliga titles run, the start to the season under the watch of Vincent Kompany births a lot of optimism, and Bayern looks like they’ll run away with the title this term.
