Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has predicted more chaotic outcomes following the Premier League’s stricter enforcements of the rules, which led to Leandro Trossard being sent off at the Etihad.
The Belgian was shown a second yellow card for kicking the ball away after after referee Michael Oliver had blown the whistle, leaving the Gunners a man down heading into the halftime break.

Having come from behind to take the lead courtesy of goals from Ricardo Calafiori and Gabriel Magalhães, Arsenal had to defend their lead with ten men; however, John Stones scored a late equaliser in the 98th minute as both teams shared the spoils.
After the draw, the Gunners fans, having claimed before the match that referee Oliver works for City, took to social media to express their disappointment over Trossard’s red card.
What Mikel Arteta said

Arsenal manager Arteta also sarcastically stated that he “expects 100 Premier League games to be 10 against 11 or nine vs 10 this season,” should these decisions continue.
“It’s that obvious that it’s not necessary to comment on it. It’s the second time,” said Arteta, via The Independent, having suffered from the same punishment with Declan Rice against Brighton.
“I’m expecting 100 Premier League games to be, 10 against 11 or nine vs 10 this season. Let’s see,” he added.
What next for Arsenal?
The draw leaves the Gunners in fourth place with eleven points after five games, two points shy off league leaders Manchester City.
They will now hope to get back to winning ways when they welcome newly-promoted Leicester to the Emirates next week.
