Cole Palmer makes Premier League history on Saturday after as he scored four sensational goals to become the first player to achieve the feat in Premier League history.
The 22-year-old started the day by hitting the woodwork in the 19th minute before firing Chelsea level from an unselfish play by Nicolas Jackson, who sets him up for a composed finish two minutes later.
A few minutes after being denied a goal by the offside flag, Jadon Sancho won a penalty in the 27th minute following a sloppy play by the Brighton defense and Cole Palmer converts, sending Verbruggen the wrong way to put Chelsea in front.
He completed his hat-trick with a sensational free-kick goal one-minute after the half-hour mark. The historical moment came four minutes before the half-time break. Teed up by Jadon Sancho, Palmer fired his shot into the goalkeeper’s near-post and managed tou produce a fouth.
