Jurrien Timber equaled Trent Alexander-Arnold Premier League record for most chances created by a defender in a single match since 2016-17.
The Dutchman created seven chances in Arsenal’s 4-2 win over Leicester City on Saturday and finished the match with one assist, which was to Gabriel Martinelli for the opening game of the match.
Jurrien Timber equaled Trent Alexander-Arnold record
Trent Alexander-Arnold is the player to have created the most Premier League chances amongst defenders since the 2016-17 season. The Liverpool man did in 2021 against Burnley and last year against Sheffield United.
Jurrien Timber is starting to make himself a regular in the Arsenal team with his first start at left-back due to the absence of Ben White from the matchday squad.
He leaves Mikel Arteta with a tough decision to make when the Englishman returns from his minor injury, with Riccardo Calafiori also thriving on the opposite flank.
