Chelsea are reportedly making serious moves to sign Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, during the upcoming January transfer window. After missing out on him last summer despite lengthy talks with Napoli, the Blues are now more determined than ever to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
During the summer window, Chelsea pushed hard to secure Osimhen’s signature, but negotiations didn’t pan out as expected. Instead, the Nigerian forward ended up moving to Galatasaray on a season-long loan, which came as a surprise to many.

Now, according to Onokala Onyebuchi of Wazobia FM, who has close ties to Osimhen, Chelsea are not giving up just yet. Onyebuchi revealed in a tweet on Sunday that the Premier League giants are eager to make another attempt to land a now Injured Victor Osimhen when the winter transfer window opens.
“Chelsea wanted a Pre Agreement with Osimhen for January 2025 that was rejected before he went to Galatasaray.
“They have been ringing Napoli wanting to do a deal in January. Willing to pay him the wages he wants 100%
“But that’s Impossible. He stays at Gala for the full season.”
With Chelsea struggling to find consistency in front of goal this season, it’s no surprise they are keen on securing Osimhen, who has proven his worth as a deadly striker both in Serie A and internationally with Nigeria.
