Victor Osimhen faces possibility of being sidelined from football actions for at least two weeks following a ‘knock’ sustained during Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa at the Rams Park on Saturday evening.
The striker, who had previously provided two assists in his first two league games for the Turkish champions, once again delivered a stellar performance on Saturday, opening his goal-scoring account with a brace in the first half to help his team a comfortable lead.
The goals also saw him break a seven-year standing record with the club.
But, Osimhen’s night took a worrying turn early in the second half when he signaled to the sidelines to be replaced after being forced off the field by a challenge.
Osimhen injury update

According to updates from Buchi Laba on X, the Nigerian forward felt slight pain after being shoved off the pitch, raising concerns about the extent of the injury. He is set to undergo a medical evaluation tomorrow
While Osimhen has also given an update on the situation, he could be back in action after three days of rest should the tests reveal no serious damage.
However, if the injury proves serious, he could be out for at least two weeks.
With uncertainty looming over the attacker’s fitness, he is in doubt for Galatasaray’s upcoming games, including Thursday’s Europa League clash with RFS.
