Udinese shot-stopper Maduka Okoye has apologized to the club’s fans after his blunder led to Inter Milan earning a 3-2 win in the Serie A match.
Speaking after the match, the Nigerian shot-stopper confirmed that he was at fault for the match’s opening goal which was scored by Davide Frattesi in the first minute of the game.
Maduka Okoye’s Off Field Problems and Personal Struggles
Okoye, who recently had some personal problems, such as a breakup with his girlfriend Jelicia Westhoff could admit to this difficulty.
In an Instagram post that was revealed by Sportsbuddy, Westhoff said that Okoye is disrespecting their family, adding to the 25-year-old’s struggles both on and off the pitch.
Apology to Fans and Focus on Recovery
In response to the criticism, Okoye tendered his apology as revealed by Tutto Udinese by simply writing ‘Sorry’ in an Instagram Story aimd at Udinese supporters.
Nonetheless, the conflict within and the mistake on the pitch do not let Okoye give up as Udinese anticipates Lecce on October.
