Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel was not included in the Fenerbahce side for the match against Twente FC in the Europa League in the Netherlands.
It looked like a surprise miss because the full-back was present during the training session of Wednesday at the Fenerbahçe Can Bartu Facilities, and probably there were no issues stemming from the match against Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.

Reason for Osayi-Samuel’s absence
While the Nigerian fullback has been dealing with fitness problems, his absence is not inspired by an injury but rather a suspension.
Osayi-Samuel got his first career straight red card during Fenerbahce’s 2-1 loss to Union SG on September 26 as reported by Sportsbuddy and, thus, will not play Thursday against Twente.
Eguavoen’s Decision Inevitable for AFCON Qualifiers

Since September, Osayi-Samuel has only played 25 minutes of football, and, thus, his fitness level will determine Eguavoen’s decision regarding including the player into the squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Libya.
