However, the former Real Madrid star has recently revealed that he has moved beyond chasing personal glory, stating that he is more focused on enjoying football and helping his team.
Cristiano Ronaldo on new priorities

After scoring for his club side, Al Nassr, in a 2-1 AFC Champions League victory against Al-Rayyan, Ronaldo acknowledged that he has shifted his priorities from becoming the best player.
“I’m just enjoying playing football, now as I know I don’t have much time left on the pitch, he said, as quoted by SunSports.
“It is not important to me now to be the best player or to win awards.
“What is important to me now is to enjoy and help my team,” he added.
While Ronaldo has hinted at his imminent retirement, also revealing life after football, his biggest rival, Messi, 37, also has only few years left to play.
Both players were excluded from the recently released 30-man Ballon d’Or shortlist for the first time in over twenty years, spelling the end of an era.
