‘I’m very happy especially for him’ – Antonio Rudiger is in awe of Chelsea duo
Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger has confessed he continues to keep tabs on Chelsea, expressing his delight for Nicolas Jackson and how Cole Palmer has surprised him.
Rudiger left Chelsea following the end of his five year contract in the summer of 2022, a year after winning the UEFA Champions League title with the Londoners.

Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer have been the two driving force of Chelsea’s attack since the start of last season following their arrivals at the club, and Rudiger has now been unaware.
Speaking in a recent interview, the Germany defender said: “I always watch their games when I can, they have a lot of talent, wow, I bet some clubs wish they can spend this much and have those players, I’m very happy especially for Nicolas Jackson, overall he is fantastic and now he is getting his goals, Cole Palmer surprised me a lot, hats off to him”.
Rudiger joined Real Madrid as a free agent, winning the UEFA Champions League and La Liga titles in his second season at the club, and is nominated in the latest 30-man list for the 2024 Ballon d’Or award.
