The 27-year-old attacker, in an interview via Milan TV ,discussed his connection to Nigeria.

He said,

“I have a few Nigerian friends. I grew up in an area with many Nigerians. I was raised with that culture, I’ve been to Nigeria, and I hope to go back soon. My mom often cooks Nigerian dishes.”

Abraham’s Super Eagles snub

Abraham’s connection to Nigeria has been a subject of frequent conversation.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) attempted to persuade him to join the Super Eagles in 2017.

Amaju Pinnick, the NFF president at the time, disclosed that he had “a positive meeting” with the striker in an attempt to convince him to change his allegiance from England to Nigeria.

Abraham had previously represented England’s youth teams, but in the end he decided to dedicate his international career to the Three Lions.

Since then, the 27-year-old attacker has made 11 appearances and scored three goals for the Three Lions.

While Abraham chose England over Nigeria, another Chelsea star has reportedly committed himself to representing the Super Eagles.
