2025 AFCONQ : Libya coach expresses concerns ahead of Super Eagles clash
Libya coach Nasser Al-Hadiri has expresses concerns over the competitiveness of his team due to injuries ahead of the meetings with the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the AFCON qualifiers later this month.
The Mediterranean Knights has suffered a lot of casualties in recent times, leaving the manager no choice but to sideline some crucial players in his 28-man list.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday before the departure to Uyo, where they’ll meet with Nigeria on Friday, Nasser Al-Hadiri highlighted concerns about the fitness of his players. He said;
“A large number of players are not fully fit, and this will cause major problems,” he told reporters.
“We hope that the physical presence of the national team members will help me, and we will achieve a positive result in Nigeria.” he concluded.

Nasser Al-Hadiri has been forced to extend invite to Al-Tahadi defender Mohammed Khalil, Al-Nasr midfielder Abdullah Abdul Rahim, Al-Akhdar winger Faraj Ghaidan and Osama Balaid.
Libya has one point after two games in the ongoing AFCON qualifiers and have lost each of their three meetings with the Super Eagles of Nigeria since their first in 2005.
Super Eagles have injury concerns of their own with the reigning CAF Men’s Player of the Year, Victor Osimhen, ruled out for the games.

After the teams clash in Nigeria on Friday, the return leg will take place in the Martyrs of February Stadium, Benghazi, Libya on October 15.
