Arsenal appear to have suffered an injury setback following Kai Havertz’s withdrawal from the most recent Germany team due to an ankle problem.
The 25-year-old made headlines on Saturday as he kept up his impressive goal-scoring streak against Southampton, scoring a 58th-minute equaliser as the Gunners emerged 3-1 winners over the Saints.
With the result, Arsenal sit in third place, levelled on points with second-placed Manchester City, who boast a superior goal difference and one point behind league leaders Liverpool.

But Havertz was excluded from Germany’s squad due to an injury worry, according to reports from SunSports.
Julian Nagelsmann’s side prepares for their Nations League qualifiers against Bosnia and the Netherlands, but will have to do that without 53-cap Havertz, who has withdrawn from the side as a result of an ankle problem.
However, with players like Ben White and Martin Odegaard already sidelined due to injury, Arteta will be hoping that Havertz’s tests reveal he won’t be missing any domestic play.
After scoring 14 goals in the previous season, the versatile attacker has already scored six goals in 10 games this year, which is an amazing return.
