Super Eagles caretaker coach, Augustine Eguavoen, has acknowledged that the upcoming clash against Libya won’t be an easy one, but he remains confident that his team can deliver a positive result.
Speaking ahead of Friday’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo, Eguavoen admitted that Libya will be a tough nut to crack, as they will be doing everything possible to secure a favourable outcome.
Nigeria currently sits at the top of Group D with four points from two games, and the Super Eagles are seen as the favourites to win the match against the Mediterranean Knights.

However, Augustine Eguavoen is not taking the Libyan team lightly, pointing out that they will fight hard to avoid defeat.
He assured fans that his team is prepared and ready to rise to the occasion, as they aim to strengthen their position in the race for AFCON qualification.
“They have one point and are bottom of the group. We are aware of our position and they are aware of their position,” Eguavoen told the Super Eagles media.
They will come here and fight. We are not thinking about the away game, our focus is the game in front of us on Friday.
“We will fight for the three points. We know what it means to get the job done as quickly as possible.
“It is going to be tough but the boys the are in good spirit. We have no injury and everyone is ready.”
