Libya’s head coach, Nasser Al-Hadiri, has voiced his frustration over the team’s preparation ahead of their crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Nigeria.
The Mediterranean Knights are facing a tough situation, as several key players will miss the matches due to injuries and suspensions.

Nasser Al-Hadiri Is Without His Key Players
The coach, Nasser Al-Hadiri admitted that the absence of these players has complicated his efforts to put together a solid tactical plan for the qualifiers.
Without his best players, Nasser Al-Hadiri has had to reconsider his strategy, knowing full well the challenge of facing a strong Super Eagles side.
“We have not yet reached the required level of readiness to face a strong team like Nigeria,” he told a press conference, Daily Post reported.
“The team were not in good shape before I took over.
“The absence of several players in our first training sessions has made it difficult to establish a comprehensive tactical plan for the game.”
Libya will be up against Nigeria at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, in what promises to be a tough encounter.
Just four days later, the two teams will meet again, this time in Benina, where Al-Hadiri’s side will be hoping to make up for any potential shortcomings in the first leg.
