After leaving Barcelona in 2018, Iniesta continued his career in Japan with Vissel Kobe and most recently played for Emirates Club in the UAE.
He hinted at his retirement in a video on social media, with the official announcement expected on October 8, a nod to his iconic number 8 jersey.
