Liverpool legend, Graeme Souness, has not held back in his criticism of Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba after his doping ban was recently reduced.
Souness expressed his disappointment, labeling Pogba as a wasted talent who never truly lived up to expectations.
According to Souness, the Frenchman has always been lazy and failed to apply himself properly on the field.
During an appearance on the Three Up Front podcast, Souness pointed out that even former Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, once referred to Pogba as a “virus” during their time together at the club.
He added that Pogba doesn’t play with his brain, suggesting the midfielder has always relied on his physical attributes but lacked the intelligence and commitment needed to maximize his potential.

Graeme Souness Didn’t Hold on Paul Pogba
Souness’ harsh remarks reflect the frustration many have felt regarding Paul Pogba, a player once considered among the best but who has struggled with consistency and off-field issues throughout his career.

He said (via GOAL): “He is extremely talented, but he is a wasted talent. The worst thing that happened to him was winning the World Cup because from that point on he just sat in his armchair.
“When Jose Mourinho was at Manchester United, he called Pogba a virus. He is a lazy player, but midfield is a position that you have to take personally.”
