The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has given a stern ultimatum to clubs with pending complaints regarding overdue payments and contract breaches.
The league body has set a final deadline of Monday, October 14, for these clubs to settle all outstanding issues, or risk the suspension of their newly signed players’ licences indefinitely.

NPFL Clubs Facing Complaints
This comes after the NPFL had initially extended a grace period for affected clubs until Friday, October 11, following directives from the Players Status Committee.
Clubs that fail to comply with the new deadline could face serious consequences that would disrupt their ongoing campaigns.
Several clubs have been named for facing multiple complaints over unpaid salaries and contract violations.
The clubs include Heartland, Shooting Stars (3SC), Bendel Insurance, Kwara United, Lobi Stars, El-Kanemi Warriors, Abia Warriors, Enyimba, Katsina United, and Akwa United.

Heartland, in particular, has several cases involving former Coach Kennedy Boboye and players like Ezekiel Bassey, Stephen Chukwudi, and others.
Other clubs like Shooting Stars, Bendel Insurance, Kwara United, Lobi Stars, and El-Kanemi Warriors also have unresolved issues involving players such as Sikiru Alimi, Yusuf Akeem Shira, and Adekunle Ayobami Samuel.
The NPFL is urging these clubs to take immediate action to avoid the severe penalties that will come with failing to resolve these contractual disputes.
