The 39-year-old had not scored against The Eagles having faced them twice in the past, once in a friendly match in February 2012 and the other in the quarterfinal of the European Championship in the summer of 2016.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored against his 198th opponent in the September international break when he found the back of the net to complete a Portugal’s comeback win over Scotland. He then made it 199 by scoring against Al-Rayyan last time out.
