Mykaylo Mudryk suitors [2] detered by Chelsea in the summer

Mykaylo Mudryk had two offers during the summer transfer window but Chelsea choose to hold on to their prized asset.

The Ukrainian joined Chelsea in the January window of 2023 in a €70 million guaranteed plus €30 million add-ons deal from his childhood club Shakhtar Donesk in Ukraine.

He has so far struggled to replicate the form that made his signature a thug of war between Chelsea and their London rivals Arsenal.

Despite the struggles, his talent remains obvious and two clubs reportedly approached Chelsea to discuss a move for the 23-year-old but Chelsea would not listen to any.

According to Italian transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, two club, one from Italy and the other from Germany, were interested in taking him in the summer but Chelsea blocked a potential move.

The club is also not looking to part with Mudryk anytime soon as he is considered a major part of the project, and a competition for Jadon Sancho as the season progresses.

Mykaylo Mudryk scored the lone goal for his country, Ukraine on Friday night as they beat Georgia in the UEFA Nations League and scene like that gives reason for optimism, that the former Shakhtar Donesk teenager will find his bearings in London.
