Manchester City goalkeeper, Ederson, has openly revealed his choice for the 2024 Ballon d’Or, and it’s not who many would expect, according to Sportskeeda.
Despite his City teammate Rodri being one of the top contenders for the prestigious award, the Goalkeeper has thrown his support behind his fellow Brazilian, Vinicius Junior, to take home the prize.

Ederson Backs Vinicius for Ballon d’Or Glory
Speaking during an interview with TNT Sports Brazil, the 31-year-old goalkeeper expressed his wish to see Vinicius crowned as the world’s best player.
“I am rooting for Vini Jr. to win the Ballon d’Or. I hope he wins it,” Ederson stated confidently.
It’s been a long time since a Brazilian has claimed the Ballon d’Or, with the last being Kaka in 2007.
Now, Ederson believes that Vinicius Junior, the Real Madrid winger, has what it takes to end Brazil’s 17-year wait and bring the prestigious award back to the South American nation.
The football world will eagerly await the announcement on October 28 to see if the Goalkeeper’s hope becomes a reality.
