Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare eyes Super Eagles call-up
Speaking on an invitation to the national team, Tolu Arokodare said,
“The Nigerian Football Federation has not contacted me yet, but I believe that if I continue to focus, the opportunity will come. My absence from the national team shows that my time has not yet come.”
The striker has already made 181 first team appearances since his debut in 2019. Albeit he is still awaiting a first call-up to the Super Eagles, he has been keeping his eyes on the stars of the team, and talked about his admiration of Victor Osimhen.
“He (Osimhen) is someone who knows what he wants and makes the best decision for himself. I have always admired him.” Tolu added.
Arokodare has scored six times in ten games so far this season, and will be looking to add more when the games resume at the end of the international break, when Genk look to return to winning ways at home against St. Truiden.
