Manchester United icon, Eric Cantona, has openly criticized the club for their decision to end Sir Alex Ferguson’s contract as a club ambassador.
Ferguson, who managed Manchester United for 26 years at Old Trafford, is regarded as one of the greatest managers in football history.
The 82-year-old led Manchester United to 38 trophies during his time in charge before retiring in 2013.

Even after stepping down, Ferguson continued to serve the club as a global ambassador, earning £2 million annually, and also held a position as a club director.
However, due to cost-cutting measures introduced by INEOS, Manchester United has decided to terminate Ferguson’s ambassadorial deal, with payments set to cease next year.

Cantona, who played under Ferguson and shared a strong bond with him, didn’t hide his frustration over this decision.

In a post on Instagram, Eric Cantona shared a picture of himself with Ferguson and wrote,
“Sir Alex Ferguson should be able to do anything he wants at the club until the day he dies. Such a lack of respect. It’s totally scandalous. Sir Alex Ferguson will be my boss forever! And I throw them all in a big bag of s***!”
