Orlando Pirates and Super Eagles defender Olisa Harold Ndah is facing an extended period on the sidelines after fracturing his tibia.
He was replaced in the 84th minute of the Pirates’ league match against Polokwane City last month after picking up the injury, but the Pirates recorded a 3-0 win.
Many credited Ndah for his leadership and influence in the MTN8 Cup final as his teammates beat Stellenbosch FC to win the trophy.

Super Eagles Defender Absence Confirmed
The club confirmed that Ndah will miss the rest of 2024 ahead of the Orlando Pirates’ Carling Black Label Cup opener against Magesi FC on Saturday.
The nature of the tibia fracture means that decisions on surgery are complex, said a statement from the club’s official website.
But the central defender will miss the rest of the year with the injury. The absence of the Buccaneers presents a problem as they struggle to cope with an ever-growing injury list.
Pirates’ Injury Woes Continue
The Pirates’ medical department also updated on other sidelined players, revealing that nine players are unavailable to the club at the moment.
They are favorites to beat Magesi FC in their next game, but the injury crisis could change their prospects as the season goes on.
