Forbes has just released the list of the Football Highest Paid Players at the moment, and it’s no shock that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi top the charts.

Despite both players being in the later stages of their careers, their earnings show that they are still cashing out heavily from football.
Ronaldo, who currently plays for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, sits at the top of the list with a massive annual income of $285 million.

Out of this, $220 million comes from his salary at Al Nassr, while the rest is from his sponsorship deals.
Meanwhile, Messi, who now plays for Inter Miami in the United States, is the second-highest earner on the list, pulling in a total of $135 million annually.
He makes $60 million in wages and $75 million from sponsorships. Messi is also the only player from Major League Soccer (MLS) to make it into the top ten.
Interestingly, the list is heavily dominated by players in the Saudi Arabian league, showing just how much money has poured into the region’s football scene.
The Forbes Football Highest Paid Players list also features Real Madrid stars Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior, who are among the top earners from La Liga.
From the Premier League, Erling Haaland, Mohamed Salah, and Kevin De Bruyne complete the top ten.
