Former Super Eagles striker, Brown Ideye, is reportedly close to sealing a move to Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Rivers United, reported by Footboom.
The experienced forward has already started training with the Port Harcourt-based club, and it seems just a matter of time before the deal is finalized.

According to Finidi, the former Nigerian international is eager to contribute to the success of the team and give back to the local league after a long career abroad.

“There’s a very good chance he’ll be joining us. What’s most important is that he’s motivated to give back,” Finidi stated.
“We’ve seen how players like Ahmed Musa have returned home to contribute, and if Brown is ready to do the same, we’ll definitely welcome him.”
Ideye’s potential move to Rivers United has sparked excitement among fans, especially given his wealth of experience.
He was part of the victorious Super Eagles squad that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
