Former Real Madrid defender Vinicius Tobias recently celebrated the birth of a baby he believed to be his daughter, only to later discover he is not her biological father.
The 20-year-old Brazilian right-back, who now plays for Shakhtar Donetsk, had a heartfelt tattoo inked on his arm in honour of his newborn daughter, Maite.

The tattoo reads, “Maite, I love you,” commemorating her birth on October 8.

However, his ex-wife, influencer Ingrid Lima, has now revealed that Tobias is not the father of the child.
Ingrid shared on social media that she and Tobias had been in an on-and-off relationship around the time Maite was conceived.
“Vinicius and I haven’t been together for a while,” she explained, in quotes from SunSports. “During that time, I was in a relationship with someone, and so was he.”
“We both moved on with our lives. In the meantime, Maite came along.
Confirming the outcome of a DNA test, Ingrid added:
“We decided to do a DNA test, and Maite is not Vinicius’ daughter.”
Meanwhile, Tobias has yet to publicly respond to the news.

Tobias, once compared to Dani Alves and Trent Alexander-Arnold, rose to prominence after his standout performances at the 2019 U15 South American Championships, where he scored in the final against Argentina.
Following his performances, he attracted interest from top European clubs, including Bayern Munich, Juventus, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid.
However, Shakhtar Donetsk eventually secured his signature for £6 million. In 2022, he joined Real Madrid on loan, making one senior appearance over two years.
Tobias then returned to Shakhtar for the 2024/25 season and has featured five times so far.
