Key Team News
Barcelona
Barcelona will be without Ferran Torres, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Marc Bernal, Andreas Christensen, and Ronald Araujo for their weekend game against Sevilla. All of these players are unavailable, so the coach will need to manage without them.
However, there’s some good news as Lewandowski and Yamal trained on Thursday after picking up minor injuries during the international break. Both of them are expected to be in the squad for the Sevilla match.
Gavi, Fermin Lopez, and Dani Olmo might also make the squad, as they are recovering from their injury problems. But it would be surprising to see any of the three start the match, even though they’ve made progress.
Wojciech Szczesny is expected to be in the squad as well, with the experienced goalkeeper now fit and ready to play. However, for the moment, Inaki Pena is likely to continue as the main goalkeeper.
Sevilla
For Sevilla, Saul Niguez and Djibril Sow will miss the match due to injuries, and Tanguy Nianzou is suspended after being sent off in the Seville derby against Real Betis.
Kike Salas is likely to step into the starting lineup to replace Nianzou, but aside from that, the team that played against Real Betis before the international break will likely remain unchanged.
Isaac Romero is expected to continue as the main striker, with Peque Fernandez playing behind him in the number 10 role. Jose Angel Carmona is likely to get the nod over Jesus Navas for the right-back position in this match.
