Victor Osimhen has his eyes on the prestigious FIFA Puskas Award after his stunning overhead kick helped Galatasaray beat Antalyaspor 3-0.
The Nigerian striker came on for the last 10 minutes after an injury layoff to score a brilliant goal, his third since joining the Turkish side.
It has also generated conversation as a Puskás Award nomination for the most beautiful goal of the year, in honor of legendary Real Madrid striker Ferenc Puskás.

Osimhen dedicated his goal to Galatasaray’s coach, who was celebrating his birthday, speaking after the game.
It was an incredible goal. I’m very happy with that; we got three points,” he said.
Mauro Icardi’s opening goals helped set the tone for the second half, Osimhen said, and his team played better after the break.

First Nigerian to Puskás?
Asked whether his goal could earn him a Puskás nomination, Osimhen said on the Galatasaray website, ‘Of course it could.’ It’s a classy goal, why not?”
Osimhen would become the first Nigerian to be a contender for the award, after Paul Onuachu narrowly missed out last season.
Osimhen has been in the headlines both in Turkey and around the world with his stunning form and flair for spectacular goals.
