Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has provided an update on Bukayo Saka’s fitness ahead of their Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday night.
Saka had to withdraw from the England squad earlier this month after picking up a knock against Greece. He missed Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday, with Arteta explaining he didn’t want to rush him back.
However, there’s a possibility that Saka could be available for the upcoming European tie.

Arteta on Bukayo Saka situation
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Arteta said,
“With Bukayo, let’s see how he feels today and (after) the training session we have later on,” in quotes by SunSports.
Arsenal are currently 13th in the 36-team Champions League group stage. After facing Shakhtar at the Emirates, they will host Liverpool in the Premier League.
Other injury worries for Arsenal
Takehiro Tomiyasu and Jurrien Timber also remain doubts for the match.
Tomiyasu, who has been recovering from a knee injury, faced a setback earlier this month.
Meanwhile, club captain Martin Odegaard is nearing a return after missing eight games. He has been sidelined with ligament damage to his ankle sustained during international duty with Norway and has only featured in three Premier League matches this season.
