Victor Boniface was present at Bayer Leverkusen’s facility on Monday morning but did not participate in team training, according to reports.
The Bundesliga leaders have begun preparations for their Champions League clash against Stade Brestois 29, set for Wednesday, October 23.
Boniface, who scored the decisive goal in Leverkusen’s 2-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, was involved in a serious car accident the following day.

Boniface shows up at club after accident amid uncertainty for Champions League clash
According to BILD, the 23-year-old attacker was spotted at the BayArena, where he assured everyone that he was in good condition.
However, he was treated and cared for upon his arrival at Leverkusen’s facility, and it remains unclear whether he will train on Tuesday or be included in the squad travelling to Guingamp.
Given the circumstances, it’s not surprising that Boniface missed training on Monday morning. The Super Eagles star had been a passenger in a Mercedes on the A3 near Bad Camberg and Idstein when the vehicle collided with a truck early Sunday morning, around 7 a.m.

Bayer Leverkusen confirmed on Sunday that Boniface is in stable condition but suffered two minor injuries to his hand.
The accident, reported by German media, resulted in damages estimated at approximately 200,000 euros (N355 million in Nigerian currency).
It’s been a challenging week for the Nigerian forward. Before the accident, he had been part of the Nigeria squad stranded for more than 16 hours at Libya’s Al Abraq Airport without food or water, before they eventually returned to Abuja following government intervention.
