KRC Genk forward, Tolu Arokodare, has expressed the belief that he needs to put in even more effort to earn recognition at the international level.
The Nigerian striker has been in fine form this season, netting seven goals in 11 league appearances for Genk in the Belgian Pro League.
However, despite his impressive performances, the 23-year-old is yet to receive a call-up from the national team selectors.

Tolu Arokodare Eyes Super Eagles
Tolu Arokodare, determined to represent Nigeria on the big stage, remains unfazed by the lack of recognition from the Super Eagles’ coaching staff.
Instead of dwelling on the snub, he has vowed to continue working hard, hoping that his dedication and form will eventually earn him a spot on the national team.
Speaking with De Standard, he shared his perspective on what it takes to be noticed by the Super Eagles.
“For the national team, I know that I have to play in a major competition in the long term. If a Nigerian striker scores three times in the Premier League or the Bundesliga, I know that I have to score at least eight times to have a chance of being called up,” Arokodare explained.
Despite the apparent frustration, the young striker remains focused on his club duties with Genk.
“It would be great to wear the shirt of my country. If the national coach does not call me up, I still have a club to focus on,” he added.
