CAF Ruling on The Unplayed Match is Near

According to reports from Libya Al-Ahrar Channel, CAF’s ruling will address the circumstances surrounding the players’ ordeal during the first leg in Nigeria, which Nigeria won 1-0, and the chaotic events leading up to the cancelled return fixture.

The Libyan Football Federation (LFF) has already submitted all the necessary documentation to Confederation of African Football for review.

Nigeria’s team faced significant difficulties during their trip to Libya. Their flight was diverted to Al Abraq Airport, located about three hours away from Benghazi, where the match was supposed to be held.

The Nigerian delegation was stranded for at least 17 hours without basic necessities like food, water, or internet access, before they eventually returned home without playing the game.
