Six-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year Asisat Oshoala, has been left out of Nigeria’s squad for their upcoming friendlies against Algeria.
This decision comes despite Oshoala, formerly of Arsenal, Liverpool, and Barcelona, playing regularly for her current club, Bay FC, in the National Women’s Soccer League.
Nigeria and Algeria are set to face off in two friendly matches at the end of the month, both taking place in Lagos.

Super Falcons head coach Justine Madugu has called up a 25-player squad, including captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, and 23 others.
The matches will be held at the picturesque Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Lagos Island, with the first on Saturday, 26th October, and the second on Tuesday, 29th October.
