On Monday, Juventus confirmed that one of their social media accounts had been hacked after a surprising post appeared to announce the signing of Real Madrid star Arda Guler.
Fans of both Juventus and Real Madrid were left stunned when Juventus’ official English X account posted a message welcoming Guler to the Serie A club.
The post read, “Welcome to Juventus, Arda Guler! The rising star of football is now part of the Juventus family,” and included a picture of Guler walking on a runway, giving the impression that the young Turkish talent had joined Juventus.
However, the excitement was short-lived as Juventus quickly clarified the situation. The club confirmed that their social media account had been compromised, and the post was entirely false.
