One fan commented, “He shouldn’t even be on the pitch, but let’s save that for later.”
Another added, “So Van Dijk equalises not long after he should have been sent off. Any other side would have seen their player off, but Livarpool get away with it. Make it make sense.”
One fumed, “Ah. Van Dijk who should’ve been sent off scores. Of course.”
Another raged, “Van Dijk should be sent off, doesn’t even go to VAR and he goes and equalises, the game is f***ing destroyed.”
Arsenal regained their lead before the break, with Mikel Merino heading home from Declan Rice’s stunning free-kick cross.
However, Liverpool equalised with a late goal from Mohamed Salah, leaving both teams to share the spoils.
The draw leaves the Gunners five points behind table leaders Manchester City and four points behind Liverpool.
