Super Eagles ‘cruise lord’ Victor Boniface is back with his usual shenanigans on social media after netting Bayer Leverkusen’s opener in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Werder Bremen.
Boniface marked his return from last Sunday’s accident—which ruled him out of the midweek Champions League clash with Brest—by opening the scoring against Bremen in the 30th minute, latching onto a sublime Jeremy Frimpong cross to tap the ball into the net from close range.

However, his goal couldn’t secure maximum points for his team, as Leverkusen conceded twice more, including a stoppage-time equaliser, despite briefly restoring their lead in the 76th minute through an own goal.

Following the draw, the 23-year-old attacker shared a picture of himself celebrating his goal on his account on X (formerly Twitter), captioning it with a popular Christmas song.
The post read,
”On the fourth day of Christmas my true love gave to me ,four heads of yam ,three watermelons,2 sweet pineapples and a mango from a mango tree.”

Boniface’s post comes after the former Bodø/Glimt teased fellow Super Eagles attacker Victor Osimhen on X, labelling him stingy and claiming he hasn’t enjoyed the perks of the Galatasaray forward’s success.
Meanwhile, Leverkusen find themselves five points behind league leaders Leipzig, a stark contrast to their impressive unbeaten display last season when they won the league.
Despite Leverkusen’s inconsistency, Boniface has been on fire, scoring in his last four games for the club and bringing his tally to eight goals in 11 matches this season.
However, the Nigerian attacker failed to make it into the final 10 nominees for the CAF Men’s Player of the Year, despite his impressive numbers, including 21 goals and 10 assists last season.
