The 2024 Ballon d’Or winner is set to be unveiled in Paris on Monday night, though reports from Daily Mail suggest the result may have already been disclosed.
For only the third time since 2007, the men’s prize will go to someone other than Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, as neither has been shortlisted this year.
While the official announcement will be made during Monday’s glamorous awards ceremony, set to kick off around 7pm (UK time), a viral social media leak on Sunday appeared to reveal the top 12 players based on voting points.

According to the unconfirmed list, Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior is set to take the award with 630 points—54 points ahead of Manchester City midfielder Rodri in second.
Jude Bellingham is listed in third, while England stars Harry Kane and Phil Foden are also in the top eight, ranking fifth and eighth, respectively.
Kylian Mbappe is fourth, Lamine Yamal is seventh, with Dani Olmo, Florian Wirtz, Dani Carvajal, and Antonio Rudiger rounding out the top 12.
One surprise on the list is Erling Haaland’s position.
Despite his incredible 38 goals in 45 games for Manchester City last season, he ranks only sixth with 195 points. Haaland was runner-up to Messi in 2023.

The 24-year-old Brazilian scored six goals and provided four assists in 10 Champions League matches, adding another 20 goal contributions in 26 La Liga games.
